Who Is It For?

ReSource is for you if …

you are interested in learning about mission.

you want something practical and focused on a mix of experience, practice and reflection with space for conversation.

you find yourself relating to the emerging culture. There is no predominant age group though it tends to be on the younger adult end of the scale – we’ve had teens, twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties so far.

resource bradfordyou are beginning leading a mission project. ReSource is an ideal place for you to come and even better to come with some others from your team. That project might be a church plant of whatever shape or model or it might be a mission project that is involved in transformation. ReSource has trained a number of people just starting out giving them the tools to journey forward. The underlying reflections on missiology, imagination, leadership, team, culture, church and discipleship will give ways to think and apply the learning to any context, especially your own we hope!

you are more established in your mission. ReSource may be helpful as a place to reflect with others and look back on your journey so far. With some experience behind you, ReSource can help you think through next steps and provide different ways to look forward.

you are excited (or hope to get excited) about mission but are not involved in a project. We have had some people come on ReSource who are just exploring. ReSource has inspired them and given them some instincts and tools to go away and get stuck into mission in their own situation.

you are a leader or team from any denomination. The team come from a number of different backgrounds and denominations and represent a range of experience.

Ruthyou are a pioneer minister. You certainly don’t have to be ordained but if you are a designated OPM (ordained pioneer minister in the Church of England) then ReSource will be a really useful piece of learning to get in the mix of your training. You may have to fight for it, but have a word with your bishop or college and persuade them to let you come. We have had a couple of students (including Ruth pictured) who have done the course and got credits on their local ministry course for doing it as an independent study module. If you are doing a foundation degree that should be an option for you to explore.

you feel a bit isolated and want to share ideas and journey with others. ReSource is a great way to connect with other people’s stories and find inspiration from them. The connection need not end with ReSource, plenty of students stay in touch and keep building these relationships after the course has ended.
