Ordained pioneer ministers

If you have been selected for training for ordination as a pioneer minister (OPM) in the Church of England or are in the process of becoming selected, the CMS Pioneer Mission Leadership Training Course is an approved pathway for training.

We have developed a partnership with the Oxford Ministry Course at Ripon College Cuddesdon, most of whose students (approximately 60) are doing the same Foundation Degree with Oxford Brookes, to design an ordination training pathway.

So alongside training with CMS, you will receive input as part of another group of diverse learners. This will comprise of six weekends a year, and a residential week in the first and third years.

This is an exciting combination that enables your formation as a pioneer minister in a mission community to be encompassed also within the wider community of church ordinands.
